The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini are available with the same selection of colors, or ‘finishes’. We have the standard black and white colors, but this time they’re called Midnight – black with a touch of carbon gray – and Starlight – white with a slight hue of gold and pearl.
Other finishes include Blue – similar to the iPhone 12 color, albeit lighter – and for the first time ever on iPhone, the color Pink. The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini will also be available in PRODUCT (RED), but fans of last year’s Purple finish might be disappointed to know that this color is no longer available on the current iPhone lineup.
iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max
Just like they did last year, the Pro models of the iPhone 13 come with their own set of four (4) premium finishes or color options. You can get the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max in Sierra Blue, Silver, Gold, or Graphite, pictured above.

While the iPhone 13 introduced so many new features and improvements over its predecessors, the star of last night’s Apple Launch Event was arguably the new, super-fast, and super-efficient A15 Bionic chipset that powers the new smartphone. Featuring performance improvements across the board – from battery efficiency to processing speed – the A15 Bionic is a marvel of modern technology. Of course, they said that about the A14 Bionic when it came out and shipped with last year’s iPhone 12’s, but the simple truth is that Apple’s done it yet again.
With a new neural engine, the hexa-core A15 Bionic is capable of 15.8 trillion operations per second, and is 50% faster than the leading competition. This enhancement in processor capability is also what paved the way for the all-new camera system and the dramatic improvements in camera performance and capabilities.
In terms of performance, the Pro models of the iPhone 13 – the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max – come with an enhanced version of the A15 Bionic that features an extra GPU core for even better graphics performance. Apple boasts that the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max offer a GPU that’s 50% more powerful than anything their competitors currently have on offer. By comparison, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini are only 30% better than any other smartphone GPU.

The iPhone 13 boasts the most powerful camera hardware ever in a smartphone, and the way they made it all fit into a ‘slightly larger’ camera module was so impressive that the folks at Apple just couldn’t wait to tell everyone how they did it. With a unique diagonal arrangement of the camera lenses, and some other architectural solutions to the iPhone design, they were able to fit their best-ever dual camera system onto the iPhone 13. According to the announcement, the new iPhone 13 lineup comes with larger batteries across all models – larger than the 2,227 mAh and 2,815 mAh batteries on the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12/iPhone 12 Pro, respectively – but the biggest change in battery life will be thanks to the more power-efficient components that powers the iPhone 13. Built with the new A15 Bionic chip which offers superior performance and power-efficiency over every other Apple SoC to date, the iPhone 13 and its variants offer significantly better battery performance than their predecessors. As we can see in the table above, the iPhone 13 completely surpasses the iPhone 12 in terms of battery life, and when you consider that it’s faster and more powerful than any other iPhone before it, the longer battery life is a marvel that only serves to make the Apple user experience better.
Storage
The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max are the first iPhones ever to sport 1TB storage configurations, although it might not be the most easily affordable option with Apple charging upwards of $800 for the upgrade. That said, power users will certainly rejoice at the option for double the maximum storage of last year’s iPhone 12. Plus, since Apple makes their own high-speed storage hardware, you’re getting best-in-class storage performance on your smartphone – and a whole terabyte of it, at that.
On the lower end of the storage spectrum, Apple decided to do away with the 64GB option, meaning every product in the iPhone 13 lineup starts with a base configuration of 128GB of storage.
