Xiaomi Mi Singapore Note 10 Lite Design and Display

The Mi Note 10 lite has a 6.47-inch 3D curved FHD AMOLED display with HDR10 capabilities. Just looking at these specs, you know this is a powerhouse of a display for gaming and for watching content.

It has a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 in the front and back. The display also has a fingerprint sensor on the display.

The Mi Note 10 lite’s display is the same as the Mi Note 10.

Now let’s talk about how it looks. The 3D curved display is an awesome looking addition in any phone and it looks splendid on the Mi Note 10 Lite. It does have thin bezels all across the phone from the top to the bottom and the sides.

The camera is housed in a notch style.

The colour choices are Purple, Black and White and they do look striking with their slight gradient and shine. It’s a good looking phone and the way the cameras are housed in the back makes it look pretty neat.

Other stats about the display is the 400,000 : 1 contrast ratio and a 91.4% screen to body ratio. It also has the low blue light certification.

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite OS, Storage and Features

The Xiaomi Note 10 Lite runs on Android 10.0 with MIUI 11 and also has a Qualcomm SDM730 Snapdragon 730.

Let’s talk about the chipset.

The 730 chipset is pretty new in the market having been released in 2019. According to Qualcomm, the 730 Snapdragon is known for its AI capture, enhanced gaming features and much better use of resources.

It’s an all round OS that’s good for video quality, batter retention and the Qualcomm AI engine.

It’s a pretty awesome chipset for a very good phone.

The MIUI 11 on the other hand is one of the worst OS’ out there. Xiaomi will tarnish it’s reputation because of the poor OS quality of the MIUI 11.

The bloatware still exists and although some UI and UX improvements have been made, it’s still a bad OS only because of the poor user experience with the ads.

It comes in 6GB versions with 64GB of storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage.

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite Camera

The highlight of most phones these days is the camera and the same goes with the Note 10 Lite. The lite in the Mi Note 10 lite is added because of the cameras. The flagship Mi Note 10 has a super power 108-megapixel camera whereas the lite version has a humble 64-megapixels.

So what does it have?

  • 64-megapixel primary camera with a wide lens
  • 8-megapixel ultrawide lens
  • 2-megapixel macro camera
  • 5-megapixel depth camera
  • Powered by a Sony IMX686 Sensor

It can shoot videos at 2160p @ 30fps. The front camera is a 16-megapixel shooter.

The ultra-wide camera on the Note 10 Lite has a 120-degree view. It also does not have a telephoto camera, this means those long shots may be a bit of a problem.

The Note 10 has those 10X and 50X zooms, but that may not be the case for the Note 10 lite. Even though it lacks a telephoto lens, it does have a macro and depth camera.

So how do the cameras fare?

They are pretty excellent and their night time shots and AI shots are a thing of beauty and it really makes the Note 10 lite a strong contender for people who want the flagship experience without paying the big bucks.

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite Battery

The Mi Note 10 Lite retains the same battery as the Mi Note 10, which is a 5260 mAh, which is a pretty big battery and can retain quite a bit of charge no matter how much usage. This battery can easily last for a couple of days with light use.

Other Features

The Mi Note 10 Lite does have a 3.5mm jack which is honestly a welcome addition. It has NFC and IR remote control.

Final Verdict

The Note 10 Lite is a great phone and in fact it’s the underdog in the Mi Note 10 series. People don’t consider Xiaomi to be the flagship makers and for this reason the expensive Note 10 and Note 10 Pro might not get the traction.

But the Mi 10 Lite on the other hand is a solid contender and might be the phone that takes them to the level of Samsung’s, Huawei’s and Apple’s of the world.

So what are it’s pros and cons?

Pros

  • Brilliant AMOLED display with a 3D curved finish. Perfect for gaming and watching content
  • Good solid design with Gorilla Glass 5, that looks great and is pretty sturdy
  • Chipset is one of the best out there and a really good addition
  • Nice cameras that work great
  • Solid battery life

Cons

  • MIUI 11 is a big downer for any Xiaomi smartphone and it’s the same for the Note 10 Lite.

The Note 10 Lite is Xiaomi flagship that most people will consider because it has all the right features to make an awesome phone. The average person isn’t going to worry about the differences between a 64megapixel camera and a 108megapixel camera and for this reason the Note 10 Lite stands above it’s premium siblings.
