Samsung Note 10 Singapore Release Date, Price and Review

singapore samsung note 10

Samsung have stepped out of the shadows of Apple and they are one of the biggest front runners in the smartphone space. Keeping to tradition, Samsung has another launch scheduled. The Samsung Note 10 is expected to be released on August 7th. Samsung’s Galaxy Note series has been on the most popular of all of the phone series in the market. It’s probably only second to the iPhone series from Apple. The significance of the Note Series cannot be ignored. Samsung was one of the first phone manufacturers to come up with a stylus for the phone, making it a phablet that led to the growth of pen computing. Even when Apple shunned the use of styluses, Samsung pioneered the concept and went on to sell in the millions.

So what does the Samsung Note 10 promise in 2019? Let’s find out

Samsung Note 10 Singapore Release in 2019

Arriving in Singapore stores on 24th August 2019

Samsung is not only launching the Note 10, but if the rumours are to be believed, there is going to be at least four different versions of the Note 10. The phones that are expected to launch are the Samsung Note 10 with the 6.3-inch display. The second version is the Samsung Note 10+ which has a display size of 6.75-inch. Each of these versions with the same specifications are expected to be released with an addition of 5G. This is contrary to what Samsung has done in the past, where they’ve released only one phone model.

Today we will focus on the Samsung Note 10.

Update Edit :

As per the latest release on 7th August 2019, Samsung has updated its feature list for the Samsung Note 10.

Our rumour wills were right! The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 sports a powerful Dynamic AMOLED panel that supports HDR10+. The display size is 6.3-inches. It has an 8GB RAM 256GB of Internal Storage. There is no Micro-SD card on the Note 10. It comes in three colours – Aura Glow, Aura Black and Aura White. It packs a 3500 mAh battery and there will be no headphone jack.

It works with Bluetooth 5.0 and USB Type-C. Talking about the cameras. The Note 10 has 3 cameras in the back. 12-megapixel telephoto lens, wide angle lens of 12-megapixel and ultra-wide lens with 16-megapixel. On the front is a 10-megapixel camera with an 80 degree field of view.

Another interesting feature is the zoom-in mic, where when you double tap a person during a recording, the mic picks up more volume that is perfect for recordings. We can’t talk about the Samsung Note 10, without talking about the S-Pen.

The S-Pen is more than just a stylus, it also has additional features such as Air Actions that lets you use the buttons on the pen for opening apps without having to place the pen on the screen. The S-Pen has a standby time of 10 hours.

Overall, the Samsung Note 10 looks like a very strong contender to be the best phablet in the market, this year!

Design and Display of Samsung Note 10

The first few design styles for the Note 10 have been leaked. Knowing Samsung, they will always keep up with the trend of the phone release cycle. Based on preliminary leaks, it’s suggested that the Note 10 will sport a clean end to end display.

The 6.3-inch display is expected to have Samsung’s Infinity-O panel. There is a camera slot on the top of the screen. But there are almost no bezels, except a super thin bezel on the chin and the top. These are probably the thinnest bezels we’ve encountered on the phone.

In a not so surprising move, there is no fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone. So it’s highly likely the sensor is going to be a fingerprint sensor on the display itself.

The Cameras

There are no credible reports as to the pixel count on the cameras, but the Galaxy Note 10 is expected to have three-rear cameras. They are going to be the usual triumvirate of Primary Camera, Telephoto Camera and Ultra-Wide camera.

Buttons and Other Features (Or Lack thereof!)

Samsung for time immemorial have depended on the use of buttons to perform functions. They have buttons for every small thing. Things have changed for the Korean giant. They have done away with the ‘Bixby’ button. When we came across this piece of information, we were absolutely ecstatic because that’s one of the most useless features we’ve ever seen on a smartphone. A lot of people don’t use Bixby, Samsung’s personal assistant and many people wrongly pressed the button, thinking it was the power button. But another feature that Samsung has left out is the 3.5mm headphone jack. Samsung has succumbed to the pressure and have done away with one of the most important ports on a smartphone. This is going to be a problem for many, but not too much as there are numerous converter options and the fact that wireless music has picked up pace.

Specifications for the Samsung Note 10

Samsung has been on the more predictable smartphone makers when it comes to feature releases. No matter what has been going on outside, they’ve stuck to their guns and released a predictable set of features. For the Note 10, we can expect the following.

Software

The software is pretty straightforward and the Note 10 is expected to be launched with Android 9 Pie with a layer of Samsung’s own UI which is the One UI.

Display

The display is a 6.28-inch that is a 3040 X 1440 resolution. It has a Dynamic AMOLED screen with HDR10+ that is sure to give the crispest quality content.

Processor

The Processor for this phone is either going to be a Snapdragon 855 or an Exynos 9820. Both of these are pretty powerful and are perfectly suited for high-gaming performances. The fast processor also ensures fast task switching.

Memory

Like most Samsung devices, the Note 10 is also expected to have a good memory and in this case it’s 12GB of RAM.

Battery

The battery is expected to be a 4500 mAh with a fast charging capacity of 45W. This is more than the standard for a big budget phone. As Samsung’ Note devices have always had a good battery backup.

Colour Options

Samsung is expected to release the Note 10 in Black, White, Silver, Red, Pink and Gradient Blue and Gradient Pink.
