Review of iPhone XS Singapore – Improvements on the iPhone X
Let’s get to the salient features of the iPhone XS.
The XS has an amazing camera, it might not seem like a huge upgrade compared to iPhone X. But what makes it different is the image sensor. Another addition is the Smart HDR. These make taking photos with the iPhone better during night time shots and where the contrast isn’t good.
The sensors are larger which means more light and the focus is much faster.
The Face ID on the XS is way faster than the previous version of the X and it is faster than the fingerprint sensor.
The extra, Smart HDR has improved the performance of the video recordings. If you are looking to shoot a lot of videos, then this is your phone.
Apple is betting on Augmented Reality with the A12 Bionic chip and the ARKit 2 and AR apps perform seamlessly.
The XS is more waterproof and dust-proof compared to the X. It can stay 30 mins under water without affecting the internal parts.
There is a dual sim support on the XS but with a hitch. You can add a normal nano sim and an eSim. Carrier locked phones won’t have this feature, but unlocked phones will.
The wireless charger has been improved considerably and charges faster compared to the X.
Finally, the display is way better. It has been improved considerably and the images are crisper and fresher.

Review of iPhone XS Max – Improvements over the X
The iPhone XS Max is huge. If you don’t like big phones, this isn’t for you. The main difference between the XS and the XS Max is the bigger phone size and bigger battery.
It has one of the finest OLED displays you would have ever seen. If you want the premium display experience, this phone is a must have.
One of the radical improvements is the speaker, the speaker is loud and crystal clear. Perfect for impromptu parties that have no speaker.
The battery life on the XS Max is better than any Apple device. According to Apple’s claim, the battery life on the XS Max is 1.5 hours more than the iPhone X.
The internals of the phone are similar to that of the XS and there is no big change there.
Should you go for it?
It depends, as always.
The XR, which is expected to be released in October is a budget friendly device with almost similar specifications, but having said that, the XS and XS Max are amazing devices.
