Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Singapore Price
Xiaomi’s new Redmi phones have been gaining momentum and they are one of the most sought after budget phones in the market. Redmi Note 8 was launched in August along with the much advanced Redmi Note 8 Pro.
Although this is a budget phone, the camera exceeds expectations and is the selling point on this phone. Is this good enough? Let’s find out!
The Redmi Note 8 has a great display. It is a 6.30-inch touchscreen with a 1080X2280 resolution. The back of the phone has a glass finish and comes in three interesting colours – Neptune Blue, Moonlight White and Space black.
It runs on the octa-core Snapdragon-665 processor which is pretty good. It runs on Android 9.0, MIUI 10. The MIUI 10 is super advanced OS but with less bloatware. There were issues of ads offered and in some cases extra apps added in that you couldn’t delete.
It comes in three storage options – 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. It comes with 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM options.
It can be expanded up to 512GB.
The cameras on the Redmi Note 8 is much discussed. It has a 4-camera set-up with 48-megapixel(Wide), 8-megapixel(Ultra-wide), 2-megapixel(Macro camera) and 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The front camera is a 13-megapixel HDR camera.
The Redmi Note 8 has a 4000 mAh battery which is quite generous and will be sufficient for running this phone easily for a day.
For being a budget phone it also has a fingerprint sensor and the face unlock feature which is pretty awesome,
To summarise, the Redmi Note 8 is a super strong contender in the budget smartphone category. It has a great display, amazing battery life, brilliant cameras and a processor that can handle a lot of gaming among other things.
The MIUI10 is strong and really is advanced with gesture controls. The Redmi Note 8 is a phone to beat.
