The Mi Note 10 is Xiaomi’s attempt at a premium smartphone. This phone is packed with some amazing features and also lacks some pretty basic features. Let’s understand them.

The Mi Note 10 comes with 6.47-inch AMOLED screen that has a 3D curve. The display has some bezels on top, bottom and the sides. It has a Gorilla Glass 5, that isn’t the latest, but it will do.

The screen has 600 nits brightness. The build is made of aluminium and it has a glass back too. It comes in three interesting colours – Aurora Green, Glacier White and Midnight Black.

You’d be surprised to know the back also sports 5 different cameras which we will get into later. It has the 3.5mm jack and there is a fingerprint under the display.

It runs on Android 9.0(Pie) with MIUI 11. The MIUI 11 is a bit of a letdown because of its bloatware and some choice of colour and design options.

But it still works. Under the display is the Qualcomm SDM730 Snapdragon 730G. This chipset at the outset might seem like a good match, but in fact it’s underpar. Its only good for gaming and its pretty bad for other high intensity functions. This phone with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage.

The camera makes up for the above flaws. It has a 5 camera setup that is 108MP + 12MP + 5MP + 20MP + 2MP. All these cameras have independent roles to perform. From ultra wide shooting to macro cameras for closeups to cameras for portrait photos.

The quality from the 108MP is absolutely brilliant and it’s one of the best out there. The cameras including the 32MP front camera are a big revelation and they are pretty great.

The battery life on the Mi Note 10 is 5260 mAh and it’s one of the best batteries out there. Its big and makes the phone a bit bulky, but it gives you two days of battery life no matter how intense the use.

The Mi Note 10 does something really well, but Xiaomi has cut corners with the chipset and for a premium phone that’s a big no no.
