It’s safe to say, Huawei has been killing it. They are the biggest phone seller in China, having upstaged the giant Apple. Huawei has been releasing flagship models through its home brand and budget models through the Honor brand. Today we are going to talk about the latest flagship, the P30.
The P30 has an all display 6.1-inches OLED display with 85.61% screen. It also sports a waterdrop notch that’s the rage these days and many people prefer it to a hole-punch design due to the positioning of the camera.
The display also packs an on-screen fingerprint scanner that is the obvious choice for flagships these days.
The P30 runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) and Huawei’s own software layer on top which is the EMUI. The EMUI has improved by leaps and bounds over the years. The P30 is also a dual-sim smartphone.
The chipset powering this phone is a HiSilicon Kirin 980 with an Octa-Core 2.36 GHz, Quad core, Cortex A73 + 1.8 GHz, Quad core, Cortex A53) processor.
The internal storage is 128GB and a 6GB RAM to go with it. The big let-down is, the memory is not expandable, so if you are a power user shooting large sized videos, then this phone might not have enough space.
Coming to the cameras, The rear camera set-up is a triple shooter with 40MP + 20MP + 8 MP respectively. It has features such as 3x optical zoom, Auto Flash, Face Detection, Continuous Shooting, High Dynamic Range and more.
The front shooter is a 24MP selfie camera.
The cameras on the P30 are incredibly powerful, but they have been let down with limited storage capacity
The battery is a 4000 mAh which can easily last for a day and a half.
Overall, the P30 is a premium flagship with a camera to die for.
