Google’s Pixel 4 XL is the bigger version of the Pixel 4 with pretty much similar specs. But do the extra features make it a better phone? Let’s find out!
The Pixel 4 XL is similar looking to the Pixel 4, only slightly bigger. It has a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ OLED. It has a 19:9 aspect ratio with Adaptive 90Hz refresh rate, HDR Support and Always-on display.
You can control the display settings of your Pixel 4 XL and you settings such as natural, boosted and adaptive.
The aluminium frame is sturdy and has Corning Glass 5 on the front and the back. The chipset that powers the Pixel 4 is the one that powers the Pixel 4 XL as well. This makes sense because apart from the size of the display and the battery, there isn’t much of a difference.
The Qualcomm SDM855 Snapdragon 855 works seamlessly with the Android 10. Android 10 is a beautiful OS experience that is pretty unparalleled.
Similar to the Pixel 4, it has two storage options – 64GB and 128GB. If you are wondering about the lack of storage options, then you aren’t the only one. Google wants people to start using its cloud storage instead of the built-in. This might put some people off, but 128GB is more than sufficient for the average user.
The cameras are a big WIN for the Pixel 4 XL. It has a 12.2MP (Wide lens) + 16MP (Telephoto Lens) with Dual-LED Flash.
It can shoot 2160p@30fps.
The front is an 8-megapixel shooter with a TOF 3D camera. This might not seem like big specs, but it does the job pretty well.
The battery is a 3700 mAh, which is similar to the Pixel 4 is pretty sub-par. Google has skimped on the batteries and you can tell because it lasts for just about a day. On days where the use is heavy, then you’ll need a power bank for more juice.
Similar to the Pixel 4, the XL is a good phone, but lacks in certain aspects.
