When it comes to design for a budget device, you can’t expect much, but the Redmi 7a truly delivers. The back of the phone has a matte finish and it has a plastic body. It’s pretty resilient against scratches. The front of the phone has a 5.45-inch screen.
The display has a HD+ IPS panel and has an aspect ratio of 18:9. The only major issue with the display is the brightness. It’s not bright enough when you use the phone outside and this is a bit of an issue. The experience indoors is pretty awesome.

The OS powering this phone is a MIUI 10 that is built on Android 9 Pie. There are additional features like dark mode, reading mode. There is no app drawer and crazy ads.
For being a budget phone, the 7a has a face unlock feature which is pretty awesome.
The best thing about the Redmi 7a is a 12MP Sony IMX 486. The front selfie camera is a 5-megapixel shooter that has AI beauty feature, single-tone flash, burst mode, Auto HDR and more.
The battery for this phone is a super powerful 4000 mAh which easily lasts for more than a day with ease. This is a decent budget smartphone with some good features!
