The Huawei Y9S Singapore is the budget mid-range offering from Huawei. This is a tricky price point to compete in because the likes of Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 8 have already beaten the market in this super competitive space with their super cheap offerings that are packed with heavy features.

Let’s talk about the design and display first.
The Y9S has a gradient back that shines ever so bright. It comes in two colours which is Breathing Crystal and Midnight Black.
The display is a 6.59-inch LCD display. It has FHD+ 2340 X 1880. The display itself has thin bezels on top and bottom.
It’s a pretty clear display that looks great and works great!
It runs on the Huawei Kirin 710F with an Octa-core processor that is pretty powerful and will help you run tasks effortlessly. It’s also great for multi-tasking!
The 6GB RAM is quite substantial and you have 128GB of storage too. This can be expanded up to 512GB.
The camera on the Y9S is pretty impressive. The primary camera is a triple camera setup with a 48MP main camera and an 8MP ultra wide camera and 2MP sensor camera.
The front camera is a 16MP shooter.
When it comes to cameras, the Y9S could have done a tad better. But this camera works pretty well and takes some pretty great night shots as well.
The battery on the Y9S is a 4000 mAh non-removable battery that is pretty good and it can charge 5V with 2A.
The Y9S to summarize is your average budget smartphone that does everything as advertised with nothing new or innovative. If you are looking for a good phone, then the Y9S is an option.
