Samsung’s Galaxy Tab A 10.5 runs on Android 8.1 and as the name suggests, it has a 10.5-inch screen with clean bezels and 16:10 ratio.
Samsung has really pushed the agenda for this device as an entertainment device by adding Quad Speakers with Dolby Atmos.
The 7300 mAh battery guarantees 14.5 hours of video playback on one charge. You can easily watch 5 to 6 movies on a long haul flight.
It works as a decorative piece at home with its smart home display that shows photos of the family in a screensaver typesetting. It can also be useful by showing the weather or displaying a calendar.
The addition of Bixby bodes well for the Tab A 10.5, when you point to locations with the help of the back camera, it can identify locations as well as translate foreign languages.
Coming to the RAM, it has a 3GB RAM and a below-par 32GB internal memory that can be expandable up to 400 GB which is ample.
If you are looking to buy a tablet for your child, look no further than the Tab A 10.5 because of one reason. Kids mode. Kids mode needs to be downloaded separately but it lets your child access safe games and educational games and it also has a parental lock that can be accessed only by parents. Galaxy Apps for Kids and LEGO pages give access to hundreds of paid and non-paid children content.
It has two cameras, an 8MP, primary camera, and a 5MP selfie camera. Both can shoot videos at 1080p@30fps.
The cameras can be used for quick photos when a phone isn’t around, but other than that cameras on a tablet don’t really play an important role.
The Tab A 10.5 does its job and much more and this is a tablet that is affordable and value for money.
