The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is Samsung’s second attempt at a folding phone. The best part? The Flip is considerably different from the Samsung Galaxy Fold, which was their first attempt at a folding phone.
Is the flip worth the price?
The screen of the Samsung Galaxy Flip is a 6.7-inch foldable AMOLED display. It has HDR10+. The folded dimensions of the Z flip is 87.4mm X 73.6mm X 17.3mm.
The body of the Z-flip is made of plastic, with a glass back and an aluminum frame.
It runs on Android 10.0 with Samsung’s very own One UI 2 on top. Powered by the Qualcomm SM8150 Snapdragon 855+, there’s enough power on this phone to run all the apps seamlessly. Samsung has made minor modifications to the UI to accommodate the folding design.
Dual app use on this phone is a brilliant experience with the folded screen. It has 256GB of storage with 8GB RAM.
It has a dual camera setup with 12MP(wide) + 12MP (Ultrawide). The front selfie camera is a 10MP shooter.
For a phone with a lot of features, the Galaxy Z flip has only a 3300 mAh battery with fast charging.
It comes in Mirror Black, Mirror Purple and Mirror Gold.
Apart from the specifications. The biggest concern about the Galaxy Z flip is the design and if the screen will break or not. Samsung has made big advancements in the display of the phone.
There is a layer of malleable screen on top of the display. There are also self cleaning brushes inside the hinges to stop dust and dirt from entering the phone.
This phone looks a lot more steadier than the Galaxy Fold and one major advantage is, it’s way cheaper!
