Huawei has been killing it in the smartphone market. Riding high on the success of the Mate 20 Pro, they are the company to beat. They’ve also made considerable advances in the tablet market and their latest is the Mediapad M5 Lite.
Here’s how it fares.
The screen is a large 10.1 inch LCD display with 1080p resolution. Huawei’s very own ClariVu technology helps improve the brightness and clarity.
The tablet is quite a looker with 2.5D curved edge glass. It’s easy to hold, lightweight and beautiful.
The audio on this device is special because of Huawei’s partnership with Harman Kardon. The quad speakers located on the four sides of the device give you a concert-hall audio effect. It also has more bass with a lesser distortion.
There is also a 3D surround sound with the 5.0 Stereo.
Huawei wants creative people to use this device and keep that in mind, they ship an M-Pen lite stylus that is equipped with 2048-layer pressure sensitivity.
It has a fast charging capability and the device takes just under 3 hours to fully charge. The 7500 mAh battery is big and lets you game, take notes, watch content and still have some battery left at the end of the day.
The cameras on this phone are a front 8MP camera and a back 8MP camera. The Mediapad does not have the best camera on a tablet. It takes decent selfie photos, but nothing more.
The tablet comes with an anti-blue light notification that informs when the tablet is too close to you.
Overall the Mediapad has a great build and metal body. The performance and speakers are out of this world. The pen and the long battery life make it a winner among creatives. The negatives of this device are the cameras. They work decently during Skype calls, but other than that, there’s room for improvement.
There might not be OS updates either. Apart from these negatives, this is an amazing device worth every penny you give purchasing it.
